cuts time to obtain permoits

ABU DHABI 9 August 2017: Abu Dhabi’s Musanada, in collaboration and coordination with the Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport (DMAT), organised a workshop on “Expediting the process of obtaining building permits via the Unified Government Platform”.

The workshop is an effort to shed light on the Unified Government Platform (UGP) to Obtain Building Permits, recently launched by DMAT and to explain how Musanada links projects to the platform, indicating the opportunities that it provides to clients, consultancy firms and Musanada ‘s private sector partners.

Saleh Al Sheibah Al Mazrouei, Musanada’s Acting Roads and Infrastructure Executive Director, highlighted the features of the DMAT-operated municipal electronic licensing system which saves the time and effort of clients and stakeholders alike, pointing out how to optimally use this advanced system which supports setting up businesses and investments in the emirate of Abu Dhabi, and the methods of bidding and registration.

Al Mazrouei affirmed Musanada’s support to the system and its efforts to further develop UGP, so as to minimize the procedures required for obtaining NOC’s by individuals and companies and to reduce the time spent for obtaining building permits, thereby attracting more investments.

Highlighting the UGP’s most important features and requirements that enable clients and consultancy firms to obtain building permits within a reasonably short period of time, Khamis Hamad Al Dahmani, Head of UGP, stressed the need to further strengthen cooperation with the private sector and to enhance the efficiency of services provided to customers and investors.
