Mohammed orders release of 543 prisoners

ABU DHABI 30 August 2017: President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has ordered the release of 803 prisoners on the occasion of Eid Al Adha. The pardoned prisoners had been sentenced to jail terms for a variety of offenses.

Sheikh Khalifa pledged to settle the financial obligations of the released prisoners, said Wam.

The pardon comes within the framework of the keenness of the UAE President to give the pardoned prisoners a chance to start a new life, and alleviate the suffering of their families.

Mohammed bin Rashid orders release of 543 prisoners on Eid 

DUBAI: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has ordered the release of 543 prisoners of different nationalities from Dubai’s correctional and punitive establishments, ahead of Eid Al Adha.

Attorney-General of Dubai, Chancellor Essam Issa Al Humaidan said that His Highness’s order to pardon the prisoners will bring happiness to their families, help the pardoned individuals get a fresh start in life and support them in reintegrating into the community.

Al Humaidan said that the order will have a positive impact on the community, as it will give the pardoned prisoners a chance to re-join their families and friends and begin a new chapter in their lives.

The Attorney General also said that the public prosecution has commenced the legal procedures to implement Sheikh Mohammed’s order.

Sharjah Ruler pardons 117 prison inmates for Eid 

SHARJAH: H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has ordered the release of 117 prisoners of different nationalities who showed good conduct during their sentences in Sharjah’s correctional and punitive establishments, ahead of Eid Al Adha.

The pardon comes within the framework of the Sharjah Ruler’s keenness to give the pardoned prisoners a chance to start a new life, alleviate the suffering of their families, and to reintegrate them into society.

Brigadier General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of the Sharjah Police, extended his thanks and appreciation to H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed, expressing his hope that this gesture will reunite the released prisoners with their families, and give them new opportunities to start a new life as good members of society.

Fujairah Ruler orders release of 47 prisoners on Eid

FUJAIRAH: H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, has ordered the release of 47 prisoners who showed good conduct during their sentences in punitive and reformative establishments, on the occasion of Eid Al Adha.

The Fujairah Ruler’s humanitarian gesture to pardon the prisoners comes in line with his keenness to give them the chance to reintegrate into society and bring happiness to their families.

Major General Mohammed Ahmed bin Ghanem Al Kaabi, Commander-in-Chief of Fujairah Police, extended his thanks and appreciation to H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, expressing his hope that this gesture will give the pardoned prisoners a chance to re-join their families and friends and begin a new chapter in their lives.

RAK Ruler orders release of 305 inmates for Eid

RAS AL KHAIMAH: H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras al Khaimah, has ordered the release of 305 prisoners who are serving various sentences and those who have been sentenced in different cases, from punitive and reformative institutions in the emirate, on the advent of Eid Al Adha.

Sheikh Saud will cover the financial charges and fines against those covered by the amnesty.

The move comes in line with the RAK Ruler’s keenness to give offenders the chance to begin a new life and ease the suffering of their families.

H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras al-Khaimah and Chairman of RAK Judicial Council, has directed the taking of all necessary measures to implement the RAK Ruler’s order in coordination with the General Command of Ras al-Khaimah Police.

Counselor Hassan Saeed Mhimed, Attorney-General of RAK Emirate, expressed profound gratitude to the RAK Ruler for his gesture as it will reunite the released prisoners with their families, and give them new opportunities to start a new life as good members of society, and bring happiness to their families.

He also thanked Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud Al Qasimi for the support His Highness extends to the Public Prosecution and the judiciary in the emirate.

Ajman Ruler orders release of 92 prisoners on Eid

AJMAN: H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, has ordered the release of 92 prisoners who showed good conduct during their sentences in punitive and reformative establishments, and the deportation of non-citizen prisoners, on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.

The Ajman Ruler’s humanitarian gesture to pardon the prisoners comes in line with his keenness to give them the chance to reintegrate into society and bring happiness to their families.

Umm Al Qaiwain Ruler pardons a number of prisoners on Eid Al Adha

UMM AL QAIWAIN: H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu’alla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Qaiwain, has ordered the release of a number of good conduct prisoners from penal and correctional facilities in the Emirate of Umm Al Qaiwain on the occasion of Eid Al Adha.

The pardon comes within the framework of H.H. Sheikh Saud Al Mu’alla’s keenness to give the prisoners a chance to start a new life, and bring joy to their families.
