2 Daesh killed, 27 held for inciting criminal acts

RIYADH 6 October 2017: An official source at the Presidency of Saudi Arabia’s State Security said that under the Information Crimes Law, the authorities monitored circulation of video clips on social networking sites inciting against public order and stirring up feelings towards issues that are still under consideration or against an interest meeting the needs of people and their requirements to obstruct it and prevent it from being used and directly and indirectly inciting to commit illegal acts.

Saudi Press Agency said the presidency managed to identify the people behind the clips and arrested them. Their number is (22) people, one of them Qatari, and the rest of the Saudi nationality. Their motives and links are being verified, said Wam.

The Presidency of the State Security, warned against the consequences of falling into such practices, saying “it will not tolerate anyone who commits such acts, and will respond firmly and resolutely to those who seek to undermine the security of the homeland and its stability.”

Saudi dismantles Daesh cell, kills two militants, arrests 5

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia said on Thursday it had dismantled a Daesh cell in a pre-emptive security operation the capital Riyadh, in connection with a plot to launch a suicide attack on the defense ministry.

Two militants were killed and five others arrested in raids on three locations on Wednesday, the Presidency of State Security said in a statement, carried by Saudi Press Agency, SPA.

The plot to attack the defense ministry involved two Yemenis and two Saudi citizens, the statement added.
