“RTA is opting for broadening and improving the public bus network in a quick response to the needs of public bus riders. The move is also prompted by the ongoing urbanisation and business development in Dubai as part of the upswing seen by the UAE in various fields. It also stems from RTA’s relentless efforts to bring happiness to bus riders through making the public transport mobility experience more enjoyable, said Mohammed Abu Baker Al Hashimi, Director of Planning and Business Development, Public Transport Agency, RTA.

“RTA is keen on broadening and improving the public transport network to keep pace with the urban upswing and demographic growth in the Emirate of Dubai. Public bus routes are instrumental in offering strategic services to residents, visitors and tourists of Dubai. Increasing the journeys made through public transport means will attract various community segments to use mass transit means in their daily travels, improve the traffic flow and clean the environmental from vehicular emissions,” added Al Hashmi.
