DUBAI 24 July 2018: To meet the unprecedented demand since its regional reveal at the 2017 Dubai International Motor Show late last year, the highly anticipated Chevrolet Bolt EV has finally arrived to the brand’s dealerships across the UAE.
Liberty Automobiles, one of the Chevrolet dealers in the UAE, kick-started deliveries this month as they handed over the keys to the first Bolt EV customer, Saeed Obaid Juma Al Leem Al Ali. An Emirati National, Saeed aspires to live more sustainably and his Chevrolet Bolt EV purchase is serving as a huge step on his journey to achieve this personal goal.
“Having been a Chevrolet fan over the last few years, I always keep a close eye on their new model introductions however the Chevrolet Bolt EV was one that I was particularly excited about due to its green credentials… I’m looking forward to finally driving it on the roads. I feel very strongly about investing in a more sustainable future, constantly making adjustments to my lifestyle, and the Chevrolet Bolt EV is a big step in the right direction,” he said.
The Chevrolet Bolt EV is the brand’s first electric vehicle in the region and the first electric vehicle ever to combine clean technology with an anxiety-free range of over 500km on a single charge.

To celebrate the first Bolt EV purchase, Chevrolet’s strategic partner, GreenParking, also offered Saeed a Level 2 Charger to install in his house, ensuring easy and speedy charging for the Bolt EV at all times. Additionally, with the reduced service requirements of its electric drive, the Chevrolet Bolt EV offers an low cost of maintenance. Likewise, government initiatives offering free parking, free registration for EVs, free Salik tags as well as free charging at Dewa-approved stations until end of 2019 add to the cost benefits of owning an electric vehicle.
