MOUNT ARAFAT 21 August 2018: More than two million Muslims from around the world began ascending Mount Arafat yesterday as part of the annual Haj pilgrimage.
Following a night of prayer and reflection in Mina, Haj pilgrims set out towards Mount Arafat, located near Saudi Arabia’s holy city of Makkah, on Monday morning, said Wam.
The pilgrims spend the entire day on Arafat while praying continuously and asking Allah for forgiveness and mercy.
