Eight-month old baby girl dies in Dubai home fire

DUBAI 30 July 2019: Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, has recently paid a condolence visit to the family of Humaid Kharousi in Al Barsha area, after their house burned down and caused death of their eight-month-old baby girl.

Al Marri extended his condolences and sympathy to Al Kharousi’s family at the loss of their baby. During the visit, Al Marri was briefed about the incident and had a close look at the reports of the General Directorate of Criminal Evidence and Criminology.

From his part, Colonel Majed Al Suwaidi, Acting Director of Al Barsha Police Station, said the Command and Control Centre, at the General Directorate of Operations, received a report on Sunday at 12 afternoon that stating a house fire at Al Barsha Area 3. “Upon arrival to the scene, it turned out that fire broke out in the baby’s room while she was sleeping which led to her death”, Colonel Al Suwaidi added.
