Abu Dhabi, Dubai to help set up new world record

DUBAI 20 June 2018: Both Abu Dhabi and Dubai will vie for a world record associated with the annual global initiative by World Waterpark Association helps to raise awareness that swimming lessons save lives.

In Dubai, Laguna Waterpark at La Mer is one of the worldwide locations to host the record-breaking World’s Largest Swimming Lesson on 21st June, taking place from 6.00pm-6.30pm.

On this official day assigned by the World Waterpark association, various waterparks and water associations all over the world will unite to educate people on the importance of swimming lessons for children and its vital role in the prevention of drowning.

Laguna Waterpark is offering you the chance  to take part in the activity for free and as part of the Dh99 admissions price. All guests who are at the park on the day can register to take part to ensure a place for them and their child.

Along with this, participating guests will receive a certificate for their contribution and participation in the event.

In Abu Dhabi, Yas Waterworld will host the lesson for the 5th year.

Recently voted the region’s leading waterpark by visitors across the Middle East, the park will host the lesson at the Amwaj Wave Pool from 12 pm until 12:30 pm. Guests can sign up for the WLSL on the day of the event at the Qaryat Al Jewana Souk, where registration will be open from 10 am until 11:50 am.
