Adnoc opens Al Marfaa Marine Service Station

Adnoc Distribution today opened the Al Marfaa Marine service station in the Western Region of Abu Dhabi as part of its sustained commitment to expanding its service station network to meet the ongoing population growth and urbanisation of the UAE. The inauguration of the new station was attended by Amer Mohd. Zayed Almansouri, Executive Director for Citizen Affairs, Ruler’s Representative Court in Western Region, government officials and senior management from ADNOC Distribution.

Al Marfaa Marine service station is the latest addition to ADNOC Distribution’s wide network of service stations in the UAE. It is the second station of its kind dedicated to providing fuel for fishermen and boat owners.

Offering two fuel choices including Special 95 and Green Diesel, the station features marine pumps and boasts best-in-class safety levels and high standards of efficiency.

Al Marfaa Marine service station is fitted-out with a floating dock and flood spot lights to provide competent service during night shifts as well. The station also features a fire-resistant design and incorporates fire extinguishers and other advanced fire-fighting equipment to put out any fire ignitions.  In addition, it has also been provided with floating sea barriers and corridors for safety as mandated by the company’s health, safety and environment standards.

Speaking on the opening of the service station, Saeed Mubarak Al Rashdi, Acting Chief Executive Officer of ADNOC Distribution, said: “The opening of Al Marfaa Marine service station reflects ADNOC Distribution’s commitment to cater to the growing demand for its high-quality products and services fuelled by the unprecedented economic and urban development witnessed by the Western Region in the past several years. The launch also articulates our strategic direction to identify and meet the specific needs of all our customers through conducting regular studies and developing efficient mechanisms.”

Al Rashdi added: “We will continue to explore new opportunities for expansion across the country to increase our ability to meet the demand for ADNOC Distribution’s services and products and aim to raise the number of service stations to more than 450 by 2017.”

The new service station hosts an ADNOC Oasis retail store that offers a range of products round-the-clock, as well as Rahal Rahal E-Diesel cards.
