Air Arabia says opens new sales office and check-in facility
SHARJAH 8 October 2017: There seemed some disconnect yesterday evening as Air Arabia announced the opening of a new sales office and city terminal check-in services at Emaar Towers in Deira, Dubai.
However, the airline’s call centre staff seemed not to be aware of the new check-in facility and directed this reporter to use the existing Al Ghurair City check-in counter, which was opened in May 2015.
Earlier, the Middle East and North Africa’s first and largest low-cost carrier, had opened its first Dubai check-in facility at Lamcy Plaza, which has been ‘temporarily’ closed for some time now.
According to Air Arabia, the Emaar Towers facility will be open from Saturday to Thursday, 9 am to 10 pm.
The airline said “inaugurating the new office, Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer of Air Arabia commented, “We are pleased to further strengthen our services in Dubai and the UAE through the new sales office. This step underpins our commitment to continuously invest in providing our customers with value and convenience across all the countries we operate in.”
The sales and city check-in office will be able to assist customers with booking flights and accessing the latest deals across Air Arabia’s global network.
Passengers can also use the facility to simply drop-off their bags and collect their boarding pass 24 hours before departure. A shuttle bus to the Sharjah International Airport is also available for added passenger convenience.
Air Arabia currently operates flights to 130 routes across the globe from five hubs located in the Middle East and North Africa.
So far at Al Ghurair City:
- Simply drop off your bags and collect your boarding pass
- Open everyday from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm
- Located at the ground floor of Al Ghurair Centre, Deira, Dubai
- Early check in starts within 24 hours prior to flight departure
- Air Arabia bus available from our Al Ghurair Centre to Sharjah International Airport
- Dh15 handling fee is applicable
