The third round witnessed fierce competition in which Emirati players presented world-class technique. The players’ performance underlined the effective role the championship played in developing talent and expertise. Therefore the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation (UAEJJF) has achieved its goal in preparing Emirati women players, referees and administrators.

The final round also attracted a large turnout of athletes’ mothers, trainers and teachers who attended for encouragement. This reflects the widespread interest in the sport, with women cheering on their daughters and students to participate and prove their ability in this unique sport.

For the first time… Mother of the Nation Cup

Jiu-Jitsu belts and the Champion’s name inspired the masterpiece designed by the renowned Emirati Matar bin Lahej. The UAEJJF was keen to produce a unique Cup design, which was presented for the first time in this Championship. This mirrors the important status of the championship that prides itself for having the name of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union (GWU), President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF).
