DUBAI 18 May 2017: A pickup driver fled his vehicle after he was suspected of stealing – along with another man – from a construction site, by an alert pedestrian, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.
On March 17 at around 3.30pm, GK, 49, Pakistani farmer suspected a pickup stopped at a construction site at Al Warqa area.
“Two men were loading steel pieces and bars. I suspected them as thieves, so I immediately called the police. The driver ran away and left his car loaded with the stolen materials,” testified GK.
Police arrived and arrested MA, 26, guard and later the driver, MS, 34, was arrested.
Court will reconvene on May 31.
