DUBAI 5 July 2021: Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai has announced the return of live events to its stage in City Walk, Dubai.

The venue, which has put on sell-out events for some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry including Maroon 5, Russell Peters, Westlife, and Tony Robbins is back with a bang as Bollywood idol Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan prepares to take the stage on 21st and 23rd July in partnership with Dubai Summer Surprises.

“Dubai is my second home and each time I perform here is like performing at home. My last commercial concert in December 2019 was in Dubai where I enjoyed performing at the Coca-Cola Arena and I’m equally excited to return back to the same venue. I request everyone to follow safety measures and government guidelines. Till then stay safe, blessed and healthy,” said Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.

Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO, Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), said: “With the environment once again conducive for full-scale events to be held in Dubai, the city’s private and public sector entities have joined hands to enthrall residents and visitors with a vibrant schedule of events and activities, starting with the much-awaited Dubai Summer Surprises. We are delighted to welcome the celebrated virtuoso Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan to this line-up of entertainment in the summer and that too at one of Dubai’s most prominent live event destinations, the Coca-Cola Arena. We appreciate the enthusiasm and commitment of our partners to not only bring back top-notch live entertainment but for also making significant efforts to ensure that the health and safety of attendees and artists remains their top priority by implementing a range of precautionary measures at event venues. As we strive to showcase Dubai as an international events destination we can all expect more quality, innovative and bespoke entertainment acts to be held across the city as we emerge out of the pandemic.”

Mark Kar, General Manager of Coca-Cola Arena commented on the return of live events, “We are delighted to announce the return of our first live event at the region’s premier entertainment venue and kicking off Dubai Summer Surprises. Having made a powerful name of itself, Coca-Cola Arena is set to deliver on providing concertgoers with an experience unlike any other – in a safe environment. We look forward to welcoming both residents and tourists to many more live events at Coca-Cola Arena.”

In accordance with current governmental guidelines, Coca-Cola Arena will be working to a maximum capacity of 1,500 guests, with all attendees required to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 to enter and follow strict social distancing regulations throughout the event.

In light of Covid-19, Coca-Cola Arena also asks fans to remember Dubai Government’s important message of “we are all responsible” and to not attend a live event if feeling unwell.

Coca-Cola Arena’s new protocols and procedures have been developed considering the guidance provided by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Government Authorities, Dubai Municipality Health & Safety (DMHS), Dubai Health Authority (DHA), Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) and international safety guidelines as well as the Arena’s management company, ASM Global.

At the heart of Coca-Cola Arena’s return to welcoming back fans for live performances is VenueShield – an environmental hygiene protocol that has been implemented across all of ASM Global’s venues around the world and will see a comprehensive, best-in-class program deployed at Coca-Cola Arena providing the very highest levels of cleanliness and safety using advanced hygienic safeguards.
