Arrogate is the Dubai World Cup 2017 Champ

DUBAI, 25 March 2017: Arrogate was the champ of the world’s richest horse race and day of racing in the world. He joins legends such as past winners Cigar and California Chrome.

The anticipation built up and it was worth it. The nail-biting finish was the culmination of a year of hard work for the trainers and race organisers – preparations for 2018 begin tomorrow?

A total prize money of US$30 million is offered on the big day, which features nine races and is highlighted by the $10 million Dubai World Cup.

Annually held on the last Saturday in March, the Dubai World Cup attracts the biggest names in racing to Dubai and the Meydan Racecourse, a state-of-the-art facility built to provide the ultimate venue for the world’s richest race day.

The Dubai World Cup is the highlight of the city’s sporting and social calendar and a fitting event to show off an activity that has long been known as the ‘sport of kings’.
