DUBAI 8 November 2017: Shreya Ghoshal, the Indian National Award-winning and leading Bollywood singer, will perform live on Friday, 10th November, on the main cultural stage at Global Village.
Shreya is one of the most popular Bollywood singers and also has to her credit hits in several languages including Bengali, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu and Punjabi. She personifies the spirit of Global Village which brings together people from diverse cultures that speak various languages and provides them with a rich and unique combination of cultural, entertainment, shopping and dining experiences.
Shreya Ghosal first shot into the limelight at the age of 16, when she featured on the Indian reality television singing show Sa Re Ga Ma in 2000. Since then, she has gone on to sing for several of Bollywood and regional films. Her biggest hits include Munbe Vaa, Bairi Piya, Teri Meri, Saans, Sun Raha Hai, Barso Re, Don’t Say Alvida, Dola Re, Nagada Sang Dhol and Chikni Chameli.
Her debut single as an independent artist, Dhadkane Azad Hain, is expected to hit the airwaves on 10th July, 2017.
All concerts are included in the price of Global Village’s entry tickets for Dh15.
Global Village concerts are held every Friday at 9 pm, after the firework show on the main cultural stage. Global Village is open from 4pm-12am Saturday-Wednesday and 4pm-1am Thursday-Friday and on Public Holidays.
