DUBAI 9 October 2018: The stations of the National Seismic Network of the National Centre for Meteorology (NCM) recorded a tremor, said a tweet from Dubai Police.
It said the tremr was measured at 2.1 degrees – a very light Richter reading, northeast of Bandar Abbas – in southern Iran at 08:59 pm today [09-10-2018], according to the local time of the UAE.
In the north of the UAE no damage was reported from this tremor, it added.
Meanwhile NCM said a magnitude 2.1 quake was reported north east of Bander Abbas, Southern Iran, at 8.59 p.m. UAE timing, said the National Center of Meteorology.
No quake jolts were reported across the UAE, NCM affirmed in a statement.
