DUBAI 17 August 2018: The Dubai Police has urged the public to buy products made by hand by prisoners in Dubai.
It has put up a catalogue of the products on its website with prices – which seem very reasonable.
“This service allows customers to view the handicraft products manufactured by the inmates of the Central Prison. These have been manufactured by hand and adhere to high quality standards. It is also possible to request and buy products from penal institutions,” said a notice.
You can also see an exhibition of the products at the main building of the general administration of punitive and correctional institutions in Al Aweer during the official working hours from 7:30 am to 2:30 pm,
You can also purchase the products through the Dubai Police website or the Dubai Police smartphone applications.
