SHARJAH 12 November 2018: Car number plate 7 recorded the highest bid in a public auction organized by Emirates Auction, in cooperation with Sharjah Police Headquarters.
The number was sold for Dh5 million after a fierce competition was witnessed between bidders at the auction, which was held on Saturday night at the Al Jawaher Reception and Convention Centre in Sharjah.
The number plate (20) recorded the second highest bid in the auction with Dh1.9 million, while number plate (14) came in third with a winning bid of Dh1.810 million.
Number plate (55) witnessed the highest number of bids and was sold for Dh1.55 million, followed by the number plate (69) which recorded the second highest number of bids before being sold for Dh1.25 million.
The winners of the auction will receive a certificate of ownership after the payment process is completed, and bidders were able to waive the numbers that they have won to others during the auction.
