Civil Defence stations for Nad Al Shiba, Al Mizhar and Jebel Ali

DUBAI 18 March 2018: Dubai Municipality has  completed the establishment of three Civil Defence stations in the areas of Nad Al Shiba, Al Mizhar and Jebel Ali, equipped with the latest firefighting technologies.

The move is part of the efforts of the Government of Dubai to secure basic service facilities for residential areas and to protect the safety of the residents and buildings from fire, said Wam.

The locations of these stations have been conveniently selected to be close to the main roads. The total cost of the three stations is Dh45 million. Each building consists of two floors. The ground floor includes a reception, sitting room, multi-purpose hall, gymnasium, dining hall, dormitory, office, fire extinguisher equipment and maintenance rooms with warehouse, garage with two-story height for fire engines, vehicle wash area, changing rooms and electromechanical services.

The first floor consists of offices for the head of the station and the alternate officer, staff offices, police office, dining room, first-aid room, meeting room and other services. The roof services floors include a warehouse and a dormitory for individuals and an operations tower.

While constructing the Civil Defence stations, it has been taken into account all green buildings standards and requirements of the Municipality as well as the privacy aspect in the interior design of apartments and finishes of the distinctive spaces and corridors in the building. The design of the project’s interfaces is in a modern style with sophisticated finishes.

All green building and sustainable architecture standards have been applied in the project in terms of using environmentally friendly building materials, high quality finishes that take into account the internal use of the project. The external lighting and water heating system for the project are all solar powered.
