Friendship and closeness between the leaders and the people is not the only hallmark of the United Arab Emirates – even though they are separate sheikhdoms, sovereign in their own right, there is closeness and friendship between the rulers too.
This closeness was reinforced during the ongoing World Government Summit in Dubai, when His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, received His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi.
Their friendship is of old – from the days of Armed Forces – and is reinforced every time they are seen together.
