Coalition jets launch 68 air strikes against Houthis in 1 day

MOCHA (Yemen) 16 February 2018: The Saudi-led Arab Coalition jet fighters – backed by the UAE Armed Forces – launched 68 airstrikes on military targets and sites belonging to the Iran-aligned Houthi militias in six governorates in Yemen over the 24 hours.

The coalition air force conducted four airstrikes on sites of the militias in Naham District, east of capital Sana’a, in addition to three operations targeting ammunition weapon caches in Sirwah District, west of Marib Governorate, said Wam.

The operations included 37 raids on the militias’ military reinforcements in the districts of Harad and Midi of Lahej Governorate.

Six air strikes were also launched against six targets of the militias in Taiz Governorate.

The UAE Armed Forces are providing military, logistics and reconnaissance support to the Saudi-led Arab Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen while advancing towards the Jarahi District.

Arab Coalition destroys ballistic missile launch pad in Yemen

With the support of the Saudi-led Arab Coalition Forces and the UAE Armed Forces, the Coalition fighters have succeeded, during an air strike, in destroying a ballistic missile launch pad of the Iranian Houthi militia near Hodeidah Airport, which was being prepared to launch a missile towards the city of Mocha.

The air strike resulted in the killing of eight members of the militia working in the missile force, while the Yemeni National Army is making qualitative progress in the restoration of new sites amid the mass escape and collapse of the members of the militia.
