Sea gives up lost watch to intrepid Dubai diver cops

DUBAI 16 April 2019: Dubai police divers were able to find a lost watch in the sea and  return the precious item to tourist owner.

Dubai Police says it is keen to make members of the community happy, and aims to be quick to respond to their requests.

On receiving notice of a watch lost by a tourist off the coast of Dubai, Col. Saeed Al Mudhani, Acting Director of Port Police Station, instructed the Maritime Rescue Department to recover the precious watch from the sea.

Lt. Col. Ali Abdullah Al Qassaybi Al Naqbi, Head of Dubai Maritime Rescue Department, said the Command and Control Center in the General Directorate of Operations received a message from one of the tourists last Friday stating that his watch had fallen into the sea while he was in a restaurant overlooking the island of Palm Jumeirah.

Al Naqbi said team of divers went to the island and after asking the tourist where the watch had fallen, dived in to search for the lost item. They were lucky and were able to find the item on the vast seabed.

The tourist thanked  Dubai Police for the prompt response and their eagerness to restore his precious watch.
