106,589 vaccine doses given; 3,601 new cases

ABU DHABI 27 January 2021: The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has announced that 106,589 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine were administered.

The total number of doses provided stands at 2,677,675 with a rate of vaccine distribution of 27.07 doses per 100 people.

MoHAP also conducted 175,249 Covid-19 tests and announced 3,601 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of recorded cases in the UAE to 285,147.

MoHAP also announced seven deaths due to Covid-19 complications, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 805, said Wam.

The ministry expressed its sincere condolences to the family of the deceased and wished Covid-19 patients a speedy and full recovery. It called on all members of the society to cooperate with health authorities, adhere to the instructions and physical distance to ensure the health and safety of all.

MoHAP also noted that an additional 3,890 individuals had fully recovered from Covid-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 259,194.
