3,294 new covid cases, 3,431 recoveries, 18 deaths

ABU DHABI 19 February 2021: The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) conducted 171,667 additional Covid-19 tests and announced 3,294 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of recorded cases in the UAE to 361,877.

MoHAP also announced 18 deaths due to Covid-19 complications, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 1,073.

The ministry expressed its sincere condolences to the family of the deceased and wished Covid-19 patients a speedy and full recovery. It called on all members of the society to cooperate with health authorities, adhere to the instructions and physical distance to ensure the health and safety of all, said Wam.

MoHAP also noted that an additional 3,431 individuals had fully recovered from Covid-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 347,366.

The ministry also announced that 89,324 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine were administered in the past 24 hours.

The total number of doses provided stands at 5,373,730 with a rate of vaccine distribution of 54.33 doses per 100 people.
