Covid Update: 2,051 new cases, 2,741 recover, 8 die

ABU DHABI 18 March 2021: The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) conducted 236,988 additional Covid-19 tests, and announced 2,051 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of recorded cases in the UAE to 432,364.

‏MoHAP also announced 8 deaths due to Covid-19 complications, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 1,414.

‏The ministry expressed its sincere condolences to the family of the deceased and wished patients a speedy and full recovery. It called on all members of the society to cooperate with health authorities, adhere to the instructions and physical distance to ensure the health and safety of all all.

‏MoHAP also noted that an additional 2,741 individuals had fully recovered from Covid-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 413,477.

The total number of vaccine doses provided stands at 6,830,369 with a rate of vaccine distribution of 69.06 doses per 100 people.
