ABU DHABI 31 May 2021: As part of continuous efforts to protect public health, the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH) is offering a free Sinopharm booster dose to those who received their second dose at least six months ago.
The free booster is available by walk-in at any of the 100+ vaccination centres across Abu Dhabi. To find your nearest vaccination centre, visit doh.gov.ae.
1,810 new cases, 1,777 recoveries, 4 deaths
The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) conducted 242,981 Covid-19 tests and announced 1,810 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of recorded cases in the UAE to 569,073.
MoHAP also announced four deaths due to complications, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 1,677.
The ministry expressed its sincere condolences to the family of the deceased and wished patients a speedy and full recovery. It called on all members of the society to cooperate with health authorities, adhere to the instructions and physical distance to ensure the health and safety of all.
MoHAP also noted that an additional 1,777 individuals had fully recovered from Covid-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 548,785.
The total number of vaccine doses provided stands at 12,811,422 with a rate of vaccine distribution of 129.53 doses per 100 people.
