Dh51 million contracts to improve Al Ain Industrial City

ABU DHABI 14 April, 2017: The ZonesCorp announced that it has signed 4 new deals with companies to build facilities in Al Ain Industrial City (AAIC).

The new projects represent a combined investment of approximately Dh51 million and cover a total area of nearly 60,000sqm. After finalising deals with ZonesCorp at the end of 2016 and Q1 2017, construction of the new facilities is underway and due to be completed towards the end of the year.

ZonesCorp is a dynamic industrial development organisation located in the heart of Abu Dhabi. Launched in 2004 by the Abu Dhabi Government, the organisation is the largest operator of purpose-built economic zones in the United Arab Emirates.

New Facilities

The new facilities in AAIC represent a diverse range of businesses including, Mauzan Perfumes Factory LLC, a leading Emirati luxury fashion house in the UAE, founded in 1990; High Class Doors & Windows Factory, which uses the latest technology to produce plastic plates, sheets, blocks, film, foils, strips & plastic doors, windows, frames and shutters designed to accommodate the varied climates experienced in the UAE; Al Murooj Organic Fertilizer Factory, an organic manure production project and the first of its kind within the UAE; Al Sultan Readymix & Precast which produces high quality precast concrete elements for precast Buildings & Boundary walls.

Strategically located midway between the cities of Abu Dhabi and Dubai, AAIC has excellent transport and communication links and is ideally located to serve GCC markets. Spread over an area of 9 square kilometres, AAIC has been developed and is operated under the same technical and environmental standards as the Industrial City of Abu Dhabi, ICAD, catering to light manufacturing industries and SME’s such as paper and wood, textiles, small scale service and repair workshops.

AAIC also caters to some heavy industries such as chemical and plastic projects. ZonesCorp has plans to further develop AAIC with new projects, such as retail and leisure facilities.
