Dh600 million expanded Ajman City Centre to open by year end

no disruption during expansion

DUBAI 11 August 2017: The Dh600 million expansion of the Ajman City Centre will be over in the last quarter of this year, the company said.

New changes include:

  • Pizza Express and Nando’s to offer Al fresco dining
  • Paris Gallery, Femi9 and Malabar Gold to boost retail offerings
  • Mado Cafe to bring a fusion of modern and traditional Turkish cuisine for the first time to Ajman
  • More cafe options, including Tim Hortons and bigger Starbucks

Taking into consideration customers’ feedback and request for more F&B and retail options in Ajman, the redevelopment will see the addition of more than 10 new stores this year. Several brands will also be making their debut in Ajman as part of the new phase.

City Centre Ajman aims to become the centre for family gatherings with new international restaurants.

As part of the ongoing Dh600 million redevelopment project, City Centre Ajman has already expanded VOX Cinemas with more screens including 4DX and specially-designed children’s theatres.

The expansion will be followed by a refurbishment and redesign of the existing mall. The number of car parking spaces will increase from 1,600 to 3,200, with a shaded parking area adjacent to the mall for the convenience of shoppers.

Majid Al Futtaim has adopted a sustainability strategy for the expansion, with the mall’s facilities being upgraded with more prayer rooms and restrooms installed with water-saving fittings, and LED lights installed throughout the mall.

Mall operations for tenants and visitors are continuing as normal during this expansion.

Majid Al Futtaim’s priority is to deliver an enhanced visitor experience at City Centre Ajman, with only nominal disruption during this expansion period.

For the convenience of shoppers, temporary parking facilities have been added to the front and back of the mall, with new entry and exit roads and signage to guide people.

The mall management has also organised a complimentary buggy service to pick-up and drop-off customers at four locations in the mall. Additionally, Carrefour Hypermarket have deployed additional porters to assist in delivering groceries to the new parking areas.
