DUBAI 8 July 2018: Did famous award-winning rockstar Bruce Springsteen lose money in a gold deal related to Dubai?
Well it seems that an unnamed enterprising person used Springsteen’s name to milk funds from a resident of Illinois in the USA, according to a report in app.com, part of the USA Today group.
“A person claiming to be Bruce Springsteen contacted a resident of Morton Grove, Il. via text message requesting help in recovering an ‘investment in gold he made in Dubai’ on June 23.
“The fake Bruce and the victim exchanged several texts and then the victim sent the bad Boss $1,100, according to the Morton Grove Patch,” app.com said.
The fake Springsteen also managed to get some $500 worth of iTunes gift cards for senior citizen phone bills.
The real Springsteen is currently starring on “Springsteen on Broadway.” It grosses about $1.9 million a week.
