Drop off your unused mobile here… and help protect the environment

Join Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo’s conservation drive

DUBAI 20 May 2017: How many unused mobile phones do you have at home?

Did you know they should not be thrown away in normal garbage, but have to disposed off in a proper manner as they can be harmful to the environment?

Did you know there are approximately 7.5 million old and unused mobiles phones taking up space in homes across the UAE?

Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo is on a mission to avoid these phones becoming harmful landfill, by offering recycling stations for you to dispose of any unwanted mobile phones and offering you a chance to clear out some space, whilst doing your bit for the environment.

In collaboration with Enviroserve, a local company with a history of ethical recycling, Dubai Aquarium has placed five mobile phone recycling collection boxes at key areas in and around the popular attraction, allowing any visitor to The Dubai Mall access to them.

This green initiative is part of Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo’s ongoing commitment raising awareness and supporting ongoing wildlife and environmental protection.

The partnership between Dubai Aquarium and Enviroserve ensures that customers can safely drop their unwanted mobile phones into the collection bins, and rest assured that they will be dismantled into components and segregated for individual recycling – avoiding landfill and harmful environmental damage.
