DUBAI 24 June 2018: Following his No 1 charting first album, ‘Shaun Warner & Friends’, UAE-based Irish artist, released his sophomore album, ‘Stay’ on Friday 15 June 2018.
This year, the artist has transgressed all expectations with a string of global hits, which he released prior to the album drop. With work spanning multiple genres within the pop sphere, the Universal Music Mena artist has already surpassed the success of his debut album with multiple tracks trending in the Middle East and across the globe. The album has already received global support over the past few months, with the first three singles having been streamed over 650,000 times and counting and received worldwide radio play.
‘Chasing’, the first single from the new album swiftly became a global favourite in December 2017, spending eight weeks in the US Billboard Dance Charts Top 50, as well as charting strongly across the Middle East. In partnership with songwriter and vocalist, JVMIE, Warner became the first UAE based artist to make it into the US Billboard Dance charts. His second single Messed it up was picked up by MTV across the globe, and his third single, “Turn You On”, was trending on Anghami across the Middle East and Africa.

‘Stay’ was produced in Dubai but the vocals came from all over the world, with two of the vocal tracks recorded in LA, one track recorded in the UK and another in Amsterdam. Warner also worked with talent based in the UAE. Stephanie Farah, a former contestant of The Voice Arabia, partners up for a slice of summertime with their song “Love” and Vandalye front man Scott Attew delivers a disco house music anthem in “Dissipate”.
Shaun also collaborated with Grammy Award winning producer Tek (Chris O’Ryan) who engineered the ‘Black Summer’ remix of Chasing and a New Zealand based production and remix duo OTÔSAN, who have stripped back the original to a bass heavy rework.
Remixing for local and regional artists such as El Morabba3, Wissam Hilal and Hadi, Shaun has already established a presence for himself in the Middle East. With three other remixes [Sex On Fire, Watch Me & Fall into you] also featured on the US Billboard Dance charts, this UAE-based artist is taking the global electronic scene by storm.
Having received an excellent initial response to the first three singles, it is no doubt that global electronic “Stay!” will be soundtrack to the summer across world in the coming months.
