Dubai lady cop wins global police leaders award

DUBAI 31 October 2019: A Dubai police officer has won the International Association of Police Leaders Award.

Capt. Dr. Rawdha Hassan Musabah Al Shamsi, Head of Special Criminal Investigations Department, Department of Forensic Medicine, General Directorate of Forensic Evidence and Criminology, Dubai Police, won the International Police Leaders’ Association Award in the United States of America.

It is awarded annually to 40 law enforcement professionals, under 40 years of age from different countries.

Captain Al Shamsi was the first military forensic doctor in the UAE to obtain a doctorate in forensic medicine, and director of the project to link the Dubai Police protection schools to Unesco World.

Captain Al Shamsi said the award is a win for all Emiratis, and proves what women have achieved in a short time.
