Mohammed orders additional power generators at key buildings

DUBAI 26 April 2017: Real estate developers and companies developing touristic, commercial and cultural projects have been ordered to install additional power generators to ensure seamless uninterrupted power supply in their developments.

The order was issued by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, during his visit to Dubai Water and Electricity Authority (Dewa) headquarters, where he was briefed about Monday’s power outage in Dubai Mall.

Sheikh Mohammed was accompanied by Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Deputy Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Director- General of the Department of Protocol and Hospitality in Dubai Khalifa Saeed Suleiman was also present during the visit.
