An Asian butcher killed a housemaid of the same nationality, cut her head and limbs off and set them on fire before burying the rest of the body in Dubai. He then confessed to the crime, saying he was influenced by Zombie horror movies.
Police said the butcher decided to murder the maid after she kept moaning on him to pay her back Dh10,000 he had borrowed from her.
Pretending he would pay, he asked her to come to an isolated area, where he stabbed her many times. He then severed her head and limbs and took them to Ajman, where he burned and buried them.
“He buried the remaining body in Dubai…it was a very difficult task for the police to arrest the killer but he was eventually caught,” Dubai’s police commander in chief Major General Khamis Al Mazina said, quoted by Emarat Alyoum daily.
Police commander assistant for criminal investigation Major General Khalil Al Mansouri said police suspected the butcher for his “experience in cutting meat.”
“The way the woman’s body was cut made us suspect that butcher after we were told he had been contacting her,” he said.
“He at first denied he killed her but when pressed during the interrogation, he confessed…he said that he was influenced by Zombie movies when he killed her.”
