DUBAI 28 March 2018: Dubai is making an all-out effort to win friends and make people happy – especially on the International Day of Happiness.
And Dubai Police is doing its part.
On the day, it surprised an unnamed European women, who arrived at Dubai airport on an Emirates airline flight.
As soon as she stepped out of the plane into the passenger tunnel, police officers were there to receive her ad escort her.
Her crime?
It was her birthday.
The surprised lady was loaded with gifts and given a rousing welcome. She and her partner were served lunch and given a VIP escort.
