Your Dubai hotel, restaurant bill likely to become less

DUBAI 12 June 2018: In yet another stimulus, Dubai has reduced the fees on hotels to 7 per cent.

The aim is to boost the travel, tourism and hospital industry – a key engine of growth for Dubai.

“Following directives by @HHShkMohd, Dubai Crown Prince orders the reduction of the fee on sale value for hotel facilities in #Dubai by 3% to become 7% of the total sales value,” said tweet from the Dubai Government Media Office (DMO).

“The step is aimed at enhancing #Dubai’s competitiveness and status as a major int’l tourist destination,” it pointed out..

“The fees on sale value for hotel facilities in #Dubai is imposed by Dubai Municipality,” it added.
