DUBAI 18 June 2019: Did you ever imagine one day you’ll have a “drive-through” police station – where all your transactions will be processed without having to interact with a single human being?

Dubai has done just that – and in doing so – the emirate has created a Guinness World Record.

Dubai’s Drive-Thru Smart Police Station has received a certificate from the Guinness Book of World Records for being the first police station of its kind in the world to operate without human intervention and to provide all services via smart applications and on a 24-hours basis, tweeted the Dubai Government Media Office.

Dubai Police said it has launched three such Drive-Thru units in the emirate in cooperation with property developer Meraas. These are located at:

  1. D89 exit to Khawaneej
  2. E11 exit to Abu Dhabi and Mad X and
  3. E11 exit to Abu Dhabi

The service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

“The Smart Police Station (SPS) is one of the most innovative and pioneering projects in line with the shift in intelligent service delivery, thus reducing the number of visitors to service centers,” said Amal Fadhel Al Mazrouei, Project Manager, Smart Police Station. Artificial intelligence and robots are used in the service delivery.
