DUBAI 21 January 2019: The Jebel Ali-Lehbab Road has been renamed as ‘Expo Road’ on the orders of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

Expo Road is an important strategic hub within the RTA road network as an alternative route to the Jebel Ali Industrial Area and adjacent areas, as well as to Abu Dhabi and vice versa without one having to enter the city center.

The road extends 15 km and serves several hotspots such as Jebel Ali Industrial Area, Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority, Dubai South and Dubai Investment Park and all the way to the site of Expo 2020.

Being held for the first time in the Mena and South-East Asia region, the World Expo will take place in Dubai from 20 October 2020 to 10 April 2021.
