DUBAI 18 November 2017: Emirates airline’ new Boeing 777-300 First Class suite exhibit will be first introduced on flights to Geneva in Switzerland and Brussels in Belgium.

Emirates began Dubai Airshow with the global unveiling of the First Class suite. These include floor-to-ceiling sliding doors and sleek design features, along with a number of world-first commercial aviation innovations. The new suites offer up to 40 square feet of personal space each, and are laid out in a 1-1-1 configuration. In addition to the First Class cabin, both Business and Economy Class cabins also received a refresh incorporating a number of enhancements.

The new Boeing 777-300ER will commence service on 1 December, serving Geneva and Brussels.

Emirates’ full family of aircraft consisting of the airline’s 100th A380, its latest Boeing 777-300ER with new cabin interiors, the Emirates Executive A319 aircraft, and the Cirrus SR 22 and Embraer Phenom 100 jets for cadet training, were on display this year at the Dubai Airshow. Both Emirates’ Boeing 777-300ER and A380 aircraft were decorated with the “Year of Zayed” decal as a tribute to the late founding father of the UAE.

During the airshow, Emirates also announced a landmark US$ 15.1 billion (Dh55.4 billion) commitment for 40 Boeing 787-10 Dreamliners. Emirates’ orders of the Boeing 787 will be delivered from 2022, enabling the airline to maintain a young and efficient fleet, in addition to complementing its B777 and A380 fleet, with more flexibility to serve a range of new destinations as the airline grows its route network.

On the second day of the Dubai Airshow, the Emirates Flight Training Academy was inaugurated by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The Emirates Flight Training Academy is designed to be one of the most advanced flight training facilities globally, highlighting Emirates’ commitment to support and develop pilots for both Emirates and the broader aviation industry.

Over 27,000 people visited and experienced the full family of Emirates’ commercial, training and executive aircraft on display at the Dubai Airshow this year.
