Fat woman slims herself by thinking she is slim

She drops five dress sizes in one year

A woman has revealed how she dropped an impressive five dress sizes in less than a year – by thinking herself thin.

Heather Jones, 38, insists that she only used the power of her mind to shrink from a size 18 to a slim size eight.

The former jewellery photographer, from Prestatyn, North Wales, describes her nine month weight loss journey as ‘effortless’.

“Some cynics may be sceptical, but I really did this all with the power of my mind…I literally thought myself thin. Our thoughts are so powerful and I feel so amazing now,” she told the Sun newspaper.

Heather started gaining weight seven years ago, after comfort eating, following the tragic loss of her ex-partner, Kriston Docker.

She realised that something needed to change. “I didn’t want that to be my story, so I tried to think differently about my grief.”

That’s when Heather discovered the Emotional Freedom Technique, involving practices employed by alternative medicine, to make people think differently.

It works by releasing ‘blockages’ within the energy system which are said to be the source of emotional intensity and discomfort, the paper said.
