ABU DHABI 19 April 2018: The first Emirati ballerina – Alia Al Neyadi – will perform the famous ballet ‘Le Corsaire’ this Friday 20 April at the Emirates Palace, in an enchanting finale to the Abu Dhabi Classics season 17/18.

The show is headlined by Bolshoi Soloists Ivan Vasiliev and Maria Vinogradova alongside a troupe of 40 dancers.

Organised by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi and produced by Flash Entertainment, the Abu Dhabi Classics programme has welcomed scores of classical music enthusiasts to concerts across some of Abu Dhabi’s most distinctive venues.

The upcoming performance spans three acts – The Marketplace, The Cave and The Seraglio – that chronicles the tale of Conrad, chief of the pirates and his love interest Medora, a young Greek woman.

The performers will collectively bring to life iconic theatrical renditions of romance and adventure from Le Corsaire, a pirate tale and classical heritage ballet based on Lord Byron’s poem.

Tickets for the season’s last concert are on sale with prices starting from Dh205.
