Five more shows added to Phantom of the Opera

DUBAI 7 October 2019: Due to overwhelming high demand, Broadway Entertainment Group and Dubai Opera announced yet another extension (extra five shows) to the Dubai premiere of the multi-award-winning show – The Phantom of the Opera.

Launching on 16 October and now running until 9 November 2019, the show will now run for four weeks, with tickets for the new performances going on-sale to the general public on 6 October.

The launch of the Phantom of the Opera in Dubai will represent a breathtaking spectacle with 130 cast, crew and orchestra members, including a thrilling performance of The Phantom, played by one of musical theatre’s most exciting talents, Jonathan Roxmouth, alongside female protagonist ‘Christine Daaé’, portrayed by rising star Claire Lyon.

Magnificent scenery, stunning choreography and more than 230 costumes by the late international designer Maria Björnson will light up the stage throughout the performance. The show will transform the iconic Dubai Opera stage with state-of-the-art lighting and special effects, many of which are a first for the region.

The spectacular visual elements of the Phantom of the Opera in Dubai are accompanied by a thrilling musical performance, including some tracks such as The Phantom of the Opera, Think of Me, and Music of the Night. The original cast recording, with more than 40 million copies sold worldwide is the bestselling cast recording of all time and the production has won over 70 major theatre awards, including seven Tony Awards on Broadway and four Olivier Awards in London’s West End.
