DUBAI 11 October 2018: British citizens travelling to Saudi Arabia will soon be eligible for multiple-entry visit visas valid for up to five years.
This comes as a result of an approved Memorandum of Understanding between the governments of Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom, that aims at facilitating the issuance of visit visas to citizens of both countries travelling for tourism, business, family visit or medical treatment, says immigration specialist, Fragomen.
The new law will come into force once all necessary legal procedures have been completed by the contracting parties.
Visitor visas to Saudi Arabia are typically issued with a validity of six, 12 or 24 months, at the discretion of the visa issuing authority.
For citizens of countries which have existing bilateral agreements with Saudi Arabia, the visit visas are issued with a longer validity.
Fragomen said it will continue monitoring the situation and will revert with additional information as developments occur.
