Free Legal Clinic may become a regular feature

DUBAI 12 December 2017: A free ‘Legal Clinic’ for real estate sector has been created by Dubai Land Department (DLD) with BSA Ahmed Bin Hazeem & Associates (BSA), one of the region’s leading legal services provider.

The ‘Legal Clinic’ will be open to the public on 17th December from 8am to 2pm at DLD’s offices in Deira, providing an opportunity for its clients to benefit from information and specialised legal advice.

The initiative will provide free information and advice to residents in the UAE, raising their awareness of their legal rights in various fields and enabling them to access the expertise of highly skilled lawyers.

Twenty-five expert lawyers from BSA, specialising in a wide range of areas including real estate, construction, employment, compensation claims, criminal matters, debt recovery, tenancy disputes, inheritance and family, will be present on the day to assist residents with their queries and concerns.

BSA’s highly experienced litigation team will offer complimentary legal advice to all members of the public. The clinic is informal, so there is no need to make an appointment; however, people are encouraged to visit early as the service will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

Sultan Butti bin Mejren, Director General of DLD, said: “We will continue our efforts to provide services to help the public understand their rights and obligations in the real estate market in particular, as well as in various other aspects of their wider lives.”

Dr. Ahmad Bin Hezeem, Senior Partner at BSA, said: “The ‘Legal Clinic’ provides free services to the public in cooperation with DLD, making a simple but highly effective contribution to the community. Over the past 17 years, we have been successful in strengthening our community role by helping those who wish to have support in our field. We are happy to make everyone feel safe by providing them with expert legal information and advice.

“BSA  looks forward to building on the success of the first ‘Legal Clinic’ so we can repeat this initiative on a regular basis. We hope to see more of these initiatives launched by other institutions, ensuring that everyone is contributing to raising legal awareness among all segments of society.”

Bin Hezeem concluded: “At BSA we are fully aware that not everybody has the financial means to access high-quality legal services. That is why we have decided to pledge both our time and knowledge to the public at no cost whatsoever – our legal experts are on hand to serve the community.”

The clinic is part of DLD’s efforts to enhance its community services during the UAE’s Year of Giving 2017.
