ABU DHABI 14 April 2019: Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai has posted a video on his Instagram account of lightening strike the world’s tallest tower – Burj Khalifa.

In the meantime, the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has called on motorists and sea-goers to take all precautions during rains accompanied by thunder.

NCM said it is probable that hails may fall. Also, fresh winds, with a speed of 50 km/hr at times, will trigger blowing dust and sand that may reduce the horizontal visibility over the land and sea with waves reaching 4-7 feet in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea..

Dubai Police has issued several warnings  asking drivers to slow down in the rain to avoid the sudden sliding of the vehicle.

“Dear Drivers, kindly take extra caution while driving, leave safety distance between you and the vehicle ahead, and comply with the speed limits during rainy weather. Wishing you a safe journey,” it said repeatedly on its Twitter handle.
