DUBAI 27 September 2017: The fog early this morning was heavier then even yesterday with very limited visibility.
NCMS said the fog began to build up at night and may last till 9:30 am.
“Chance of fog formation with poor visibility less than 1,000m at times over some coastal and internal areas of the state from 21:30 today 26/09/2017 to 09:30 tomorrow morning 27/09/2017,” it said.
Drivers are advised to be careful and keep a safe distance and use fog lights. It is unsafe to use hazard lights as you cannot indicate turns and lane changes.
The humidity had begun to build up last night and by 6am it was almost a total white-out in the more open areas.
The NCMS forecast for today says there will be hot weather during daytime, mild by night in general, and partly cloudy at times over some areas. Clouds will form over some eastern areas.
Light to moderate winds in general, freshening at times during afternoon causing rising dust over some exposed areas.
It said the relative humidity will increase during night and early morning times over some coastal and internal areas, with a chance of fog/mist formation. Sea will
be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea.
