How much compensation did workers get in 2017?

ABU DHABI 2 October 2018: Compensation to employees at current prices increased from Dh226.92 million in 2016 to Dh233.57 million in 2017, according to the Statistical Yearbook (SY) of Abu Dhabi 2018 released by the Statistics Centre – Abu Dhabi (SCAD) on Monday.

The compensation of employees indicator provides important information for the national accounts in particular and the economy in general, as it reflects the income obtained by employees in all economic activities in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, said Wam.

The main economic activities contributing to the growth in 2017 were ‘Public administration and defence; compulsory social security’, and ‘Human health and social work’ with increases of 9.5% and 6.6% respectively.
