ABU DHABI, 5th November 2016 (WAM) – Under the auspices of H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, the Insurance Authority (IA) will organise the international motor insurance conference on 28 November 2016 in Abu Dhabi under the slogan of “Motor Insurance New Concept for a Better Future”.
Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy and Chairman of IA’s Board of Directors said: “The organising of the International Motor Insurance Conference emanates from the Authority’s keenness to develop and promote motor insurance sector in the UAE market to a more competitive levels on the global scale, especially after the issuance of the system of unification of motor insurance policies on September 2016. This system includes the unified policy of motor insurance against civil liability and unified policy of motor insurance against loss,” he said.
Al Mansouri thanked H.H. Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior for lending patronage to the event, which is seen as an important platform to look into the latest trends in the insurance sector in general and motor insurance in particular, and to enhance role of insurance in reducing traffic accidents.
Al Mansouri pointed out that rise in traffic accidents constitutes a global concern as it impacts directly on growth of economies as a result of loss in souls and properties arising from it.
