DUBAI 31 October 2017: A Nigerian allegedly placed an illegal massage promotion card that carried a picture of a woman in a revealing dress on a police car, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.
The promoter attacked a policeman who was in the car when the latter tried to arrest him.
On September 20, At around 9pm, First Sergeant Issa Abdul Rahman headed with his colleague to the International City to arrest a gang that illegally sold alcohol.
“While we were in a parking lot observing the area, we noticed an African placing cards on cars’ front glass. He also approached our car and placed a card on the glass. The card promotes a massage centre and carried a picture of a naked woman,” said the officer.
The officer got off the car and approached the African.
“I presented my police ID card and while asking him, he punched me hard in the face so I fell to the ground. My colleague got off the car and assisted me to arrest him,” said the officer.
The accused, CN, 32, strongly resisted arrest.
The court will give verdict on November 13.
