Kardashian robbery: Cops find DNA on dropped gem

French police have discovered a vital clue which could lead them to snare Kim Kardashian’s  armed robbers.

A tiny gemstone outside the Paris hotel where Kim was targeted could provide vital DNA evidence which may lead cops to the attackers.

“A piece of stolen jewellery was found close to the block, and was presumably dropped by the gang. It suggests that the criminals may have made mistakes because they were in such a hurry,” the British Daily Mail newspaper said.

The new information comes as it was revealed Kim has called in former special forces troops to spearhead her own probe into her Paris raid ordeal.

The reality TV star was tied up at gunpoint in her apartment this week as thieves made off with booty including a £3.2million engagement ring and mobile phones.

French police suspect there was an inside man.

But sources close to Kim, 35, and rapper hubby Kanye West say they are taking no chances and bringing the matter in-house.

One source said: “They’ve decided to use their own experts as part of their security overhaul. Some of them have worked for the world’s top intelligence agencies. If anyone can get to the bottom of what went on, these guys will.”
